CPI 'NAUF' (no added urea formaldehyde) branded veneer core hardwood plywood qualifies for credit consideration under U.S. Green Building Council's LEED program

A possible ONE POINT may be available under "Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) 4:4 Low Emitting Materials". CPI uses Soyad (Ashland.com), a Soy based formaldehyde free resin, in manufacturing NAUF plywood, which is CARB Phase 2 compliant and certified by the U.S. Hardwood Plywood and Veneer Association as formaldehyde free.

An additional ONE POINT credit may be possible through the USGBC's "Innovation" category for use of Soyad, a Green Chemistry award recipient.

CPI veneer core hardwood plywood prefinished with Essex Coatings (essexcoatings.com) products meet credit requirements for "Indoor Environmental Quality (IER) for low Emitting Materials - Adhesive and Sealants" and "Paints and Coatings". Essex Coatings' products contain no VOCs, no Haps and no formaldehyde.
